Caitlin Bakker is the Discovery Technologies Librarian at the University of Regina, where she oversees library systems for the dissemination and discovery of scholarly resources.
She has previously worked at the University of Minnesota, the University of Northern British Columbia, and Wilfrid Laurier University.
She holds an MLIS from McGill University, a BA (Hons) in English from the University of British Columbia, and is currently an external Ph.D. candidate at Maastricht University, where her research focuses on the representation and discovery of retractions.
Marlo Harris is Senior Director, Digital Publishing Platforms at Wiley.
She leads the teams that evolve and operate Wiley Online Library and Wiley’s submission and peer review systems. She is responsible for ensuring that the platforms meet customer needs and align with Wiley Research strategies.
Over her 26 years in scholarly publishing, Marlo has held various roles in editorial, marketing, technology and product management at Wiley and Atypon.
Ann Beynon is Lead Partnerships Manager in the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) at Clarivate where she builds strategic research partnerships and fosters community engagement in the research evaluation ecosystem.
She has worked at Clarivate for 17 years in various roles and has expertise in bibliometrics, research evaluation, and research information management.
Her thought leadership activities include blogs, webinars, and conference presentations on scholarly communication topics.
Stacey McDermott is the Senior Product Manager in the Entitlements team at Springer Nature, looking after the authorisation services for SpringerLink, Nature.com, Springer Materials and ADIS Insights. She is based in London.
Dan joined Figshare in early 2014 as its first US-based employee. In his current role, he focuses on the adoption of Figshare’s enterprise offerings for government, funder, corporate, and biopharmaceutical markets through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and educational outreach.
Dan helps provide a lateral perspective across the research data management landscape in assessing the needs of researchers, academic publishers, and institutions alike, while also offering guidance on current industry trends.
In his previous roles, Dan spent over 6 years at one of the largest open-access STEM publishers.
Shannon O’Reilly is the Team Lead, Product Solutions for Altmetric and Dimensions at Digital Science, supporting researchers and institutions in the US, Canada, and Latin America.
She has over 10 years of experience working in scholarly publishing and alongside academic institutions. Shannon is passionate about helping broaden and deepen the understanding of research’s value for people and communities through the use of comprehensive tools and solutions that go beyond traditional bibliometrics.
Previously, She was the Digital Publishing & Rights Manager for Georgetown University Press and served as the Senior Global Outreach Manager for ACS Publications.
Shannon holds an MPS in Publishing from George Washington University.
Daniel Keirs, Head of Journal Strategy & Performance, IOP Publishing
Daniel leads on strategic planning, policy development, and business insights for the journals publishing programme at IOP Publishing, with a particular interest in open access publishing and wider open science developments.
Previously Daniel held journal management roles in the natural, applied, and social sciences at IOP and a number of other publishers including Taylor & Francis, ICE Publishing, and Wiley.

As the Publisher for Art at the American Physiological Society, Eric is responsible for the production and quality control of all published artwork as well as the layout and design of the 14 APS publications.
He develops and implements policy and procedures concerning all aspects of journal artwork production for online and print publication. He hires, trains, and supervises all Art Department staff and works with them to maintain a fluid, collaborative environment that can meet the demands of 14 peer-reviewed publications.
Eric has the lead role in creating internal procedures to address figure manipulation. As a member of the APS Publications’ Management team, Eric has been closely involved in crafting current APS Ethical Policies and continues to support APS education efforts in this area.
Richard White is the Editorial Director of a group of Open Access journals including Scientific Reports, a multidisciplinary, inclusive journal that publishes over 20,000 Articles per year. He was Chief Editor of the journal until 2021 and oversaw a period of rapid growth whilst ensuring editorial quality was maintained.
Richard joined Nature Publishing Group in 2009 as one of the launch editors of Nature Communications before taking over the editorial leadership of Scientific Reports in 2013. He has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Leicester and worked as a researcher at the Australian National University.
