To drive this mission forward, STM’s work in Open Research covers all aspects of Open Access, Open Data, Open Science, infrastructure for Open Science, and related areas as the field evolves — from legal, policy, advocacy, communications to technology and beyond.

In our mission to advance trusted research, we believe the sharing of high-quality research outputs throughout the research life cycle is critical to advance science and scholarship. Open practices can add to the quality, speed and integrity of scholarship and research. Open Research is an important driver for a positive impact of research on society at large and contributes to the sustainable development goals of this century. The Open Research Committee is the guiding leadership group committed to promoting Open Research practices. This committee plays a key role in identifying priorities that will guide our efforts, ensuring a collaborative and transparent approach.
