A means to identify and standardize definitions and terminology in peer review practices
Peer Review Terminology is a new initiative launched by STM in collaboration with NISO to bring clarity and consistency to the peer review process. This project standardizes key terms used across various peer review models, promoting transparency and improving communication among authors, reviewers, and publishers. By establishing a shared vocabulary, the initiative ensures that journals and publishers can better compare and assess their review practices, fostering a more efficient and trustworthy system that advances the quality of scholarly research.
