JOINKaty Saunders
Katy Saunders is an Associate Publisher at BMC, part of Springer Nature where she manages a portfolio of Open Access journals in the earth and environmental sciences. Her work has included launching brand new journal titles from proposal to publication. Since starting at Springer Nature in 2022, Katy has co-chaired an Early Careers Personal Development group to deliver support and feedback on how early career publishers can be empowered to advocate for themselves in their careers.
Katy has a Masters in Publishing from UCL, during which her dissertation explored the support for OA publishing available to new University Presses. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Royal Holloway University of London.
