Dr. Katherine VanDenburgh is a Senior Journal Manager at AIP Publishing, where she is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and growth of a portfolio of open access journals. In addition to her journal leadership, she contributes to enterprise-wide initiatives, most notably by leading the organization’s transfer strategy and supporting researcher education and engagement efforts.
Katherine holds a PhD in materials science from Indiana University Bloomington, where she discovered her interest in science communication while serving as an editor for ScIU: Conversations in Science. She is passionate about maximizing the global impact of research through effective science communication.
