Jane Smith is the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Programme Manager at the Institute of Physics (IOP), seconded to IOP Publishing as the Inclusion & Wellbeing Partner.
Jane is an EDI professional with a wealth of experience in leading strategic EDI initiatives and providing expertise within Higher Education, professional bodies, scholarly publishing, and the charity sector. She is passionate about driving EDI in STEMM and uses her background in the chemical sciences to create change in the sector and help others pursue STEMM careers.
Jane is a member of the Research England (RE) EDI Expert Advisory Group and is also a Trustee for Laamiga – a coaching and mentoring charity for migrant and refugee women.
