What is the PubTech Conference?
Publishing is a vital cornerstone in promoting academic research, stimulating technological innovation, and inheriting civilization. It is also an organic vehicle for disseminating innovative achievements and intellectual thoughts. The rapidly evolving technology is also driving revolutionary changes in the publishing industry.
The PubTech Conference is committed to building an international exchange platform for sharing and dialogue among experts and scholars in the publishing and technology fields, leading publishers, and specialists of cutting-edge new technologies. It aims to promote innovative ideas, discuss how to integrate new technologies with the industry, address developmental challenges, and jointly explore the transformation direction of the publishing industry driven by new technologies.
The 3rd PubTech Conference will be held at the Beijing International Convention Center on June 16, 2025. The conference is organized by China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd., co-organized by the Society of China University Journals, and supported by STM, etc. Themed “Publishing’s Future Empowered by Technology.” The conference will focus on current industry concerns such as publishing and integrity driven by technology, corpus construction, and copyright protection. It will conduct in-depth discussions and jointly explore developmental pathways to contribute wisdom to the industry.
What is the STM APAC Conference?
The STM APAC Conference aims to enhance open cooperation between the research and academic publishing communities in the APAC region and the international community.
It is dedicated to strengthening the academic publishing capabilities of APAC and actively promoting the integration of countries/regions in APAC into global open science practices.
The first STM APAC Conference will be held at the Beijing International Convention Center on June 17, 2025. It is co-hosted by the International Association of Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers (STM) and China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNPIEC), co-organized by the Society of China University Journals. Themed “Open Driven by Innovation”, this conference will focus on the development strategies and innovative practices of open science. It will bring together peers from research institutions, academic publishing houses, and libraries worldwide to jointly discuss the creative development of open science in APAC. The conference will provide a platform for international exchange and collaboration, enhancing global academic communication and improving open sharing.
