Chris Sibbons

Chris Sibbons is a not-for-profit veteran. He has spent his career making things work and then making them better! Through Cambridge Assessment to Cambridge University Press and now with Canadian Science Publishing, his objective is always to set high targets and get as close to those targets as possible.

At Cambridge, as Content Operations Director, Chris led teams in Cambridge, New York, India, Australia, South Africa and Nigeria. Leading over 120 employees to produce world leading journals and books across humanities, social science and the sciences. Improving workflows, time to publication and costs were all key to the success he had in the Content Operations Director role.

Now at Canadian Science Publishing Chris leads Enterprise Technology, Publishing Technology, Production, Peer Review and Marketing as the Senior Director of Production and Technology. Here, improvements to; workflows, time to publication, outsourced services, software and the author journey have been key to the ongoing success of Canadian Science Publishing. He is a committed member of STM; part of the editorial team for STM Tech Trends and a member of the team launching STM Future Lab Webinars. Chris is also a member of the Canadian Persistent Identifier Advisory Committee as part of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network.

Chris’ current priorities are organizational growth, continuing to improve the well-liked Canadian Science Publishing author journey and embracing AI across publishing both internally and externally.
