Yang Wei

Yang Wei is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an Honorary Member of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), a Fellow and Treasurer of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), a Foreign Member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, a Professor at Zhejiang University, and the Chair of the CAST Committee on Open Science and Global Partnerships for the United Nations Consultative Body (CCOS).

He has previously served as the President of Zhejiang University and the Director-General of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His main professional fields include solid mechanics, interdisciplinary mechanics, aerospace structures, graduate education, and research integrity. In recent years, he has been actively promoting the practice of open science in developing countries.
