Moshe Pritsker

Dr. Pritsker co-founded JoVE in response to a universally experienced problem within the world of biomedical science: that today only 10-30% of published scientific articles can be successfully reproduced. Dr. Pritsker himself ran into this same problem on his way to completing his Ph.D. at Princeton University, so he developed an elegantly simple solution: filming experiments and publishing them in video format to make all the subtle, intricate techniques involved in research plainly visible for anyone to see and replicate. Today, JoVE is the leading creator and publisher of video solutions that increase productivity in scientific research and education.

Dr. Pritsker holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Results of his research on stem cells, genomics, bioinformatics, and HIV have been published in leading scientific journals (PNAS, JBC, Genome Research and Biochemistry) as well as in patent applications. Prior to co-founding JoVE, Dr. Pritsker held the position of post-doctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital.

As JoVE’s CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Pritsker oversees more than 100 employees in offices located in the U.S., U.K., and Australia. Millions of researchers and students utilize JoVE video articles through our subscriber base of nearly 1,000 universities, colleges, government agencies, hospitals, and biotech/pharmaceutical companies in over 60 countries.
