Maribel Gomez is a publishing professional with a Master’s in Publishing from The George Washington University and over a decade of experience in education. Committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, she specializes in copyright licensing. As a Publishing Inventory Associate at Copyright Clearance Center, Maribel contributes to the scholarly publishing sector while actively engaging in industry initiatives through STM, SSP DEI, and The Scholarly Kitchen Cabinet. As an SSP Fellowship winner, she researched Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Open Access: Insights in Latin America, exploring strategies to enhance inclusivity and equitable access in the region.
