Lee Shupp

Lee sparks innovation with Fortune 500 clients by applying a deep knowledge of technology, consumers and culture. His application of foresight techniques, understanding of social and technological change, and love of people and culture combine to create a unique and informed perspective.

Lee began his career as a “street futurist,” combining anthropological approaches with futures thinking to understand changing consumers and culture. His love of solving complex problems led him to integrate business consulting, foresight practices, design thinking and customer insights to identify emerging opportunities for innovation.

Lee earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s Degree in Communication from San Francisco State University, where he applied futures tools to understand the advent of the Internet. He completed post-graduate work in Futures Research at the University of Houston, specializing in social and technological change. He is a founding member of the Association of Professional Futurists.

Lee is a frequent speaker at conferences, enabling audiences to better understand coming change. He has presented at the World Future Society, IIR Trend Tracking, South by Southwest Interactive, RGB Design, and many others conferences.
