Lara Campbell is a science and technology strategist with a track record of shaping national initiatives that drive innovation and impact. She previously served in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where she led President Biden’s Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) in developing high-impact recommendations on emerging technologies and national priorities. At the U.S. National Science Foundation, Lara played a pivotal role in launching the Convergence Accelerator and helped initiate the new Technology, Innovation & Partnerships Directorate—accelerating the translation of research into real-world solutions. She has directed international research collaborations, led nonprofit programs advancing global science, and served as a Fulbright Scholar. Lara earned her PhD in synthetic organic and biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and her BA in chemistry from Rice University.
