Kayla Dos Santos

Kayla Dos Santos is a Senior Acquisitions Editor at Elsevier and has been responsible for the Electronic. Magnetic and Optical Materials Science & Engineering books portfolio for the past 6 years.

She began her career in publishing 11 years ago as an Editorial Assistant at the health science textbook publisher Jones & Bartlett Learning.

At Jones & Bartlett she served as an Associate Acquisitions Editor responsible for commissioning content for physical therapy, exercise science and other related disciplines. At Elsevier, she is currently responsible for managing a number of book series and society partnerships such as the Elsevier and SPIE Photonic Materials and Applications books content collaboration, Nanophotonics book series, Metal Oxides book series, and Acta Materialia book series.

In 2020, she had the honor to serve as 1 of 2 managers for the summer editorial books internship program at Elsevier jointly sponsored by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).
