James Milne

Dr James Milne is a publishing professional with over 25 years’ experience in Scientific, Technical and Medical publishing.  He is President for the American Chemical Society’s Publications Division.  In this role he leads the strategic planning and overall management responsibility for the ACS’ portfolio of over 75 peer-reviewed journals and numerous other information products and services.  He has offices in both Oxford, UK, and Washington, USA, reflecting both the global nature of scientific publishing and the global role the ACS plays in this context. Prior to joining the ACS in 2016 he held senior positions at Wiley, Royal Society of Chemistry, and Elsevier.  He is the Chair of the Board of STM, and previously sat on the Council of ALPSP, and the Board for CCDC.
