Glenn Collins

Born and raised in New York, Glenn Collins graduated from Cornell University in 1991 and entered the world of STM publishing a few years later.  He started at John Wiley & Sons working his way up from Editorial Assistant to Acquisitions Editor in the Reference Works division. He moved to San Diego in 2000 and first worked on the journal Brain Research running the editorial office for Editor-in-Chief Dr. Floyd Bloom, past EiC of Science. He was the Executive Managing Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) and associated journals from 2001 to 2014.  During that time span JACC more than doubled its Impact Factor to be number one in a field of over 100 journals and launched three new daughter journals two of which now also sit in the top 10 in terms of Impact Factor.  JACC also strengthened its overall readership scores which place it firmly at number one and the four JACC journals control over 40% of the total advertising market in the field of cardiology.  

Glenn joined Origin Editorial in August 2014 as the Director of Business Development as well as Publications Director/Managing Editor for the journal Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Glenn is a Past President of the ISMTE.
