Freddie Quek

Freddie Quek is Group Head of Software at The Collinson Group and Research Associate at Henley Business School. He has spent most of his career in publishing, having worked for Current Science Group, Elsevier and Wiley.

He was Director of Engineering at Wiley responsible for Wiley InterScience, platform integration with Blackwell and launch of Wiley Online Library. In 2013, he led the technology transition of Wiley's largest revenue generating society owned partnership with the American Geophysical Union. He became Director of Strategic Initiatives charged with establishing a new organizational capability to execute strategic yet unplanned initiatives. His team was awarded the IT Project Team of the Year at the UK IT Industry Awards. In 2014 he received his third Wiley President's Award in 4 years. In 2015, he was a recipient of the Wiley Pacesetter Award in navigating complex negotiations and technical challenges to deliver a ground-breaking multi-million licensing deal. Most recently in October, he was recognised by Information Age as one of UK’s top 50 data leaders and influencers.

Freddie is a highly experienced Technology leader. His portfolio of digital products has included some of the most well-known brands in the STM world. He is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and Templeton College, Oxford University.
