I have been working in STM publishing since 1997, starting as a production editor at the self-published society journal, Brain Pathology. After spending the next 16 years working for both societies, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and a CME company, PriMed, I joined Wolters Kluwer to oversee the launch of a series of open access journals. Since then, I have taken on a number of responsibilities at Wolters Kluwer – overseeing the publisher overall indexing strategy, supervising the editorial group within Medknow, an open access journal serving non-traditional markets, launching Lippincott’s Transfer and Cascade program, founding the Lippincott Research Integrity Commitee.
In the past 12 years, I have been Wolters Kluwers’ point person for many of its research integrity initiatives, editorial innovations, and industry outreaches, including being an active participant in the STM Research Integrity Hub, Friends of the NLM, Aries Industry Advisory Board, CLOCKSS Board Member, and a frequent speaker, panelist and author regarding editorial strategy and policy.
