Diane Scott-Lichter
Diane Scott-Lichter has been Vice President, Publishing, at the American College of Physicians since 2013. Her career encompasses both society and commercial publishing of scientific and medical content for professional and consumer audiences. She has published journals, books, magazines, and point-of-care tools. Prior to joining ACP, Scott-Lichter held positions in publishing at the American Association for Cancer Research, The Endocrine Society, Blackwell Publishing, American Cancer Society, Elsevier Science, and the American Chemical Society.
Scott-Lichter is Vice Chair, AAP/PSP Executive Council. She has been President of the Council of Science Editors; North American Editor for Learned Publishing, the peer-reviewed journal of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers; Vice-Chair of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Scientific Publishing Committee, which oversees the AHA’s publications; and a board member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing.
Scott-Lichter holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a Master of Arts degree from New York University.
