Anna Sharman

Anna Sharman did a PhD and postdoc in biology, focusing on the early evolution of fish, before moving into journal publishing. She was an editor of Trends in Biochemical Sciences and Current Biology (Elsevier) and then of Genome Biology (BioMed Central), which involved her in the early stages of open access publishing. She then became a freelance editor and publishing consultant, and in 2014 set up Cofactor, a company that helps scientists publish their results most effectively. Cofactor offers editing (for researchers and publishers), consultancy and training. Anna keeps up to date with new developments in scientific publishing so as to guide clients and workshop participants.
