Peer Review & Research Integrity Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a motivated Administrator to join our Publishing Operations team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. If you’re looking for insight into the world of academic publishing, then look no further!

This is an exciting opportunity for your first foray into publishing and will provide great exposure of how the Peer Review team is managed and their processes. This is an entry-level role idea for someone looking for their first publishing position, and the successful applicant need not have a science background. This would also be an ideal first step in developing office management skills.

Role Overview

This role is primarily to support the Peer Review & Research Integrity leadership team in the effective management of the department, and to provide a professional administrative service across the team. Primarily this role supports the Publishing Ops teams in managing communications throughout the department, including updates to internal guidance documents, newsletters, monitoring customer feedback and updating records.

What will you be doing?

Key job accountabilities include:

– Management of departmental communications (including surveys, newsletters etc)

– Ownership of the departmental SharePoint site, including training and best practice documentation

– Assessing the customer survey feedback and directing it to the right owner within the business.

– Other general ad hoc administration as required, e.g. checking emails, arranging meetings, taking minutes.

About you:

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in using MS office, especially Word, Excel and Sharepoint
  • Previous administration experience in a busy office environment is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent customer service.

IOPP has a flexible, hybrid working model in place, in which colleagues work choose where they work for the majority of the time.
