Manager / Senior Manager, Public Affairs EU

STM is seeking a proactive and politically astute Manager / Senior Manager, Public Affairs (EU) based in Brussels to strengthen our presence and advance our advocacy goals with EU institutions and stakeholders.

As a key member of STM’s Policy & Advocacy team, you will:

– Represent STM in the Brussels policy environment, building relationships with the European Parliament, Commission, and Member States.
– Build and maintain trusted networks with policymakers, coalitions, and stakeholders.
– Monitor and analyse EU legislative and policy developments affecting research & innovation.
– Shape and deliver engagement strategies in alignment with STM’s global policy goals.
– Represent STM at high-level meetings, conferences, and events to increase visibility and impact.

We’re looking for:

– 5+ years’ experience in EU public affairs, ideally in research & innovation or related fields.
– Deep knowledge of the EU policymaking process and institutional structures.
– Strong interpersonal skills and a solid stakeholder network, with a proven ability to advance topics through political processes.
– Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and at least one other EU language.
– Motivated, independent professional with great organizational skills and the initiative to manage projects and priorities effectively. Experience in EU-funded projects is an asset
