Editorial Assistant ebooks
We have an exciting opportunity for an Editorial Assistant to join our ebooks team on a permanent basis.
About the Role:
We are seeking an organised and efficient team player to join our ebooks team and play a vital role in ensuring excellent author service.
Happy to work independently as well as within a team, you’ll be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and also be adaptable and quick to learn. You’ll have an eye for detail and will take a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of accuracy when entering data and in written and spoken correspondence.
Your drive for results will allow you to keep the progress of book proposals and manuscripts on track, taking the lead on the majority of author communications, and using your judgement to escalate issues when required.
About you:
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
- A good general education, ideally degree educated or equivalent;
- Advanced user of usual office technologies: MS Office and collaboration tools;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral (including telephone) and written;
- Excellent organisational, time and task management skills; methodical in approach;
- Keen interest in STM publishing and/or ebooks;
- Experience of supporting / managing the peer review process;
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload;
- Previous experience in using a database or in customer service will be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

The contractual location of this role is from our Bristol office. As a company, we have a hybrid working model in place, with a dynamic and blended combination of office and remote working. There will be a requirement for the person in this role to be in the office approximately 2 days per week, so we are open to considering applicants from a wider geographical area who are happy to travel to Bristol on a regular basis, subject to business needs.
