STM Code of Conduct and Complaint Process

STM advances trusted research through building a community of integrity and respect. We aim to foster collaboration with our members and the wider community in scholarly publishing, to create a safe space for meeting the challenges facing our industry. STM values and benefits from the diverse perspectives that its members and affiliates hold.

We promote respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and, in line with our values, welcome the participation of all people irrespective of characteristics and traits including, but not limited to, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, age, language and social origin.

Our aim is to build an environment of mutual respect, wellbeing, and collegiality for all STM activities. All participants in STM events or activities agree to respect the perspectives of others, to be courteous to others regardless of whether they agree or disagree with the views presented, and to avoid aggressive and/or inappropriate behavior towards others.

Reporting: If a participant believes that these expected standards of behaviour have been violated, or that acceptable social decorum has otherwise been breached, they shall contact STM’s Chief Executive Officer.
