STM recommendations to implement Article 4 of the 2019 EU Directive for Copyright in the Digital Single Market

Join us for this free-to-attend STM webinar on Tuesday, May 14th at 10 am EDT, 3 pm BST, and 4 pm CEST,

STM issued recommendations to members on how to implement Article 4 of the EU Copyright Directive and protect academic works from scraping for TDM activities for commercial purposes – building on the TDMRep protocol developed by the W3C community group. This is also relevant in the AI context. We will be outlining the various avenues available to publishers and rationale behind the recommendations. A written technical summary is available in the Members’ Area of the STM website.

Who should attend?

We recommend technical and legal colleagues within publishing houses to attend. There will be space for questions and answers of a practical nature.
