Elizabeth Crossick

Elizabeth is head of the Brussels office, head of government affairs EU and global policy lead on AI for RELX, a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. RELX includes the well-known brands of Lexis Nexis, Elsevier and Reed Exhibitions. RELX is an unusual company both because of the breadth and depth of its offering and because it is a European company whose biggest market is the US. RELX is headquartered in London, with Elsevier headquartered in The Netherlands, Exhibitions in the UK and Lexis Nexis in France and the US. It is listed on the FTSE (top 10) Dutch and NY stock exchanges. RELX is a technology focused, IP intensive organisation so working there puts her at the centre of innovation and technology.

Elizabeth has a wealth of experience in public policy, government affairs and public engagement, having lived and worked in Brussels for over 25 years. She is the President of the British Chamber of Commerce EU/Belgium, having established and chaired its Digital Committee. She is also part of the American Chamber of Commerce EU leadership as a Committee vice chair. Elizabeth represents the company in a number of organisations including several European Trade Associations. She was also on the Board of the European Internet Forum (EIF) until the end of this mandate.

Elizabeth is an accomplished speaker and facilitator, having chaired many high-level events and debates, particularly on AI and technology related issues. Most recently she spoke at the Dutch Association VNO/NCW at their AI Congress, at a ScienceBusiness Roundtable and for the STM association. She has also been involved with this topic in CEPS, the Brussels-based thinktank.
