Richard Bruce Lamptey

Richard is the Deputy Library at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi- Ghana.

He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of South Africa (South Africa), a Master of Philosophy in Science and Technology Studies from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, a Master of Information Services Management from London Metropolitan University (United Kingdom) and Diploma from University Ghana, Legon, Ghana. He has a full information Science background.

He is knowledgeable in digital Libraries, Data Curation, Digital Repositories and Information Management, and Open Access / Open Data issues. Very much results-driven, go-getter, follow transformational leadership principles. He provides advanced training for both Lecturers and Students and supports raising awareness of library resources in KNUST. (Literature Search, Avoiding predatory journal publishing, Digital Literacy, Plagiarism, Institutional Repositories, Open Access and Open Science)

He is the Research4Life Country Connector for Ghana and the Associate Editor for the Ghana Library Journal. He is also a reviewer of several international journals.
