Wanshu Zhang

Dr. Wanshu Zhang is an Associate Publisher, Health Sciences at Wiley managing a portfolio of open access and hybrid titles as well as strategic publishing projects in partnership with renowned Chinese societies. Wanshu started her publishing career at Wiley in 2019 as a Journal Publishing Manager, Editorial and Society Management that focused on partner publishing business in China market. In the past five years, she launched nine open access journals and oversaw a portfolio of twenty journals with varied business models and professions such as materials science, chemistry, energy, neurology, hepatology, rheumatology, oncology, and general medicine, etc. She is closely engaged with the research communities and is an advocate of open access, pioneering STM publishing technologies, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She organized the Emerging Editor board and increased the ratio of female editors in her journal portfolio. Before joining Wiley, she was a postdoc researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands. She conducted her Ph.D. study at Peking University based on a cooperation project with University of Science and Technology Beijing.
