Andrea Macaluso

Andrea Macaluso has over 20 years of experience in STEM publishing as a Publishing Manager, Commissioning Editor, Editorial Director, and Society Liaison. She is Director, Strategic Partnerships and Global Nature Partner Journals at Nature Research, based in Springer Nature’s One New York Plaza location.

Andrea has worked at Springer Nature for 7 years where she helped launch the Nature Partner Journals brand in the US and was the Editorial Director for Life Science and Biomedicine at Springer Science + Business Media, overseeing the US-based book and journal portfolio, where she spent 14 years prior to joining Nature Research.  

She is responsible for business development and partner relations for the global Nature Partner Journals (NPJs) brand and works closely with funding agencies, scientific foundations, member organizations and institutions across the US to engage in conversations regarding open research, open data, and to help find solutions to the challenges they face in an ever changing industry.
