Alicia Wang is the Deputy Director of the Digital Development Center at China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNPIEC), a leading organization in China’s cultural and academic publishing sector. She brings nearly 20 years of professional experience across administration, public relations, sales, and marketing. Before joining CNPIEC, Alicia spent 17 years at a major Sino-German joint venture with more than 2,000 employees, where she gained extensive expertise in cross-cultural communication and international collaboration.
Since 2021, Alicia has played an active role in CNPIEC’s digital transformation, with a focus on open access, digital publishing, and the application of artificial intelligence in the scholarly ecosystem. Her work emphasizes bridging traditional publishing practices with innovative technologies to better support researchers, institutions, and global knowledge exchange.
In 2024, she became Vice President of CNPIEC Kexin, an affiliate of CNPIEC dedicated to providing AI-driven solutions for the publishing industry and scientific research. In this role, she leads efforts to design and implement practical AI applications that enhance efficiency, expand dissemination channels, and create new opportunities for publishers and the wider research community.
