Workshop 2: Communication with Institutions
Facilitated by: Communicating with institutions about integrity issues is often a complex and delicate process. Who is the right person to contact, and how can you ensure your message reaches them? What are effective ways to encourage timely and constructive responses? And how should you proceed when, despite repeated efforts, no response comes at all? In this workshop, participants will learn from colleagues with extensive experience navigating these challenges, explore a range of practical tactics and strategies, and exchange approaches for building constructive dialogue with institutions. Together, we will look at what has worked, what has not, and how editors and publishers can more effectively manage this demanding yet essential part of safeguarding integrity in scholarly publishing. |

Workshop 3: Helping your editors and reviewers understand research integrity issues
Facilitated by: Editors and reviewers play a crucial role in identifying and responding to potential integrity issues during manuscript review. Still, they may not always be aware of all issues involved, including the latest trends and developments. This workshop will provide research integrity professionals with practical guidance on how to support journal editors and peer reviewers in this important area. Starting with comments from an expert panel, we will move to interactive polling and group discussion, surfacing the challenges and discussing strategies. We will discover what each of us knows and what each of us doesn’t know, and the result will be a better understanding of how we can all support the researcher. A written summary will be provided following the session |
