Zong-Ming Cheng

Professor Zong-Ming (Max) Cheng, Chief Editor and Founder of Maximum Academic Press (MAP), earned his Ph.D from Cornell University in 1991 and has held academic positions as an Assistant, and Associate Professor at North Dakota State University, and Full Professor of University of Tennessee , contributing over 30 years to research and education. Prior to establishing MAP, Dr. Cheng successfully launched and managed several high-impact journals, including: (1) Horticulture Research (initially published by Nature Publishing Group) in 2014; (2) Plant Phenomics (published by American Association of Advancement of Sciences, AAAS) in 2019; (3) BioDesign Research (also published by AAAS) in 2020. He has served as Editor-in-Chief, Co-Editors-in-Chief, and Executive Editor, respectively, for this three journals. Dr. Cheng aims to apply all his successful experience in launching, developing, and managing high-quality scientific journals—ranging from editorial policy formulation and peer review system optimization to international editorial board building—to ensure that all journals published under MAP not only uphold the highest standards of academic quality and publishing ethics, but also gain global recognition, foster scientific impact, and serve the needs of the scholarly community with integrity and excellence.
