We are seeking an Associate Publisher who willplay a pivotal role in shaping our open science vision and driving the growthof AIP Publishing’s open access (OA) journal portfolio.

Responsibilities will encompass crafting a strategic plan for title expansion,formulating business plans and financial projections, and ensuring thesuccessful launch of new journals that meet their financial and editorialtargets. In addition, the role will developinnovative publishing, peer-review, and distribution formats that enhance thepublication experience for authors, reviewers, and readers within therespective communities we serve.

Additionally, you will overseeP&L management, driving editorial and financial growth while closelymonitoring key performance indicators defined by our organizational strategyand journal expansion business plans.

· Are proficient in physics or thephysical sciences; a degree in a physical science-related field is preferredbut not required.

To be consideredyou’ll:

· Bring significant experience (5+years) working in the publishing industry, where you have experience indeveloping editorial products and leading editorial and/or publishing teams.

· Have a minimum of 2 years’ experiencedirectly managing and developing staff, showcasing your ability to coach andnurture talent.

Additional details:

$120,000 – $130,000

Salary within the above posted rangeis based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.

Must reside within NY, NJ, CT, MD, VA, PA, MA, RI orWashington, DC. This is a remote opportunity.
