Subscriptions Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for a collaborative and proactive Subscriptions Administrator within the Enterprise Operations department for a 12-month fixed term contract.

Role Overview

The Subscriptions Administrator is responsible for performing a range of daily, weekly and monthly subscription order management tasks in support of IOPP’s renewable journals and ebooks sales business. The successful applicant will provide flexible support across the team and potentially within the wider Enterprise Operations department – for example Licencing and TA operational management.

What will you be doing?
Key job accountabilities include:

  • Creating subscriptions in our fulfilment system at the request of Sales Managers
  • Administrative processes associated with the annual subscription renewal cycle
  • Responding to internal and external customer queries in regard to orders and access
  • Assisting with the management of weekly print distributions and print claims for back issues.
  • Ad-hoc support for the wider Enterprise Operations teams, particularly during busy times of the year, for example during the renewals cycle, or to cover staff holidays.

About you:

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • GSCE (or equivalent) English Language and Maths
  • An excellent command of the English language to ensure correspondence is clear, concise and of a high standard
  • Previous administrative experience, including suggestion and creation of new, and enhancement of existing processes
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • Ability to prioritise work according to urgency and importance, and be self-sufficient, flexible, and self-motivated to ensure SLAs are met
  • Ability to work on their own and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Familiarity of SalesForce.com is desirable, but not essential

Flexible Working:

The contractual location of this role is our Bristol office but we have recently moved to a hybrid working model with a dynamic and blended combination of office and remote working, dependent on business and team requirements.

As there will not be a requirement for the person in this role to be in the office on a weekly basis, we are open to considering applicants from a wider geographical area who are happy to travel to Bristol a couple of times a month, subject to business needs.
