Will Schweitzer is CEO of Silverchair, where he leads the company’s strategy and the continued evolution of the Silverchair and ScholarOne platforms. Under his leadership, Silverchair completed its acquisition of ScholarOne, creating one of the most comprehensive technology platforms serving the scholarly publishing community. Will brings a perspective rare among technology leaders in this space: more than 20 years of experience working inside scholarly publishing. Before joining Silverchair, he held product and publishing leadership roles at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (Science magazine), SAGE Publications, the American Psychological Association, and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. That firsthand experience as a publisher informs how he thinks about building technology that works for this community, not just in it. He is committed to helping independent on non-profit publishers thrive in an increasingly complex landscape.
