Ryan Davies

Ryan Davies is a scholarly publishing professional with over eight years’ experience leading and managing academic journals across the physical sciences, engineering and technology. As Portfolio Manager at Academia.edu, he leads a team responsible for developing a growing list of open access titles. 

Ryan has previously held editorial roles at Frontiers, Cambridge University Press, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, gaining experience in journal launches, open-access publishing, portfolio strategy, editorial development, and engagement with researchers and publishing partners. 

Ryan’s background is in quantum physics; he holds a Master’s degree from the University of York, where he also supported science outreach and communication projects. He has been an active mentor since 2021.”
