Jessica Kowalski leads Wiley’s global research business at the intersection of technology, data, and research publishing.
She brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling knowledge, data, and AI-driven businesses, with a track record of transforming legacy models into growth engines. Jessica built deep roots in research publishing at Elsevier, where she helped drive the company’s evolution from a content publisher to a leading information analytics platform. She then spent the better part of a decade in Big Tech, holding senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, where she led large-scale cloud, data, and AI businesses and partnered with global enterprises to drive transformation at scale.
Jessica began her career in government and intelligence before moving into research publishing and technology, experiences that shaped her perspective on the role of trusted knowledge in complex systems. She has long been drawn to science and education, and to the pursuit of knowledge itself, as a lifelong learner. Her work has consistently focused on building platforms that connect creators, contributors, and consumers, turning information into insight and insight into impact.
