Launch of STM Trends 2026
Presented by Eefke Smit, Director of Standards and Technology, STM
Don’t miss the launch of this year’s edition of STM’s well-acclaimed STM Trends 2026. The motto in this new future forecast is The Beauty of Open at Scale.
In the next 3 to 5 years our industry will see a sharp rise in Open Access content. What does that mean for scholarly discovery amidst the proliferation of information platforms? Within this play for platform prevalence, what new eco-system will develop and how will (new?) influencers guide users and authors the way in an abundance of available and openly accessible information. And, very important, how is the role of publishers supporting this through tools for trust and integrity. People want to be able to trust the content they find so how can publishers help ensure and vet its quality and integrity even better.
Come and watch the new infographic poster – it is to share widely
