Christy Till

Christy has a B.S. and M.S. in geological sciences from University of California, Santa Barbara and a Ph.D. in geology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, serves as an early career representative on the Council of the American Geophysical Union, and is currently a Mendenhall Postdoctoral Fellow at the United States Geological Survey.  Her research focuses on how magma is generated in the Earth’s interior at a variety of plate tectonic settings and she is interested in improving communication between scientists! and policy makers, educators and the general public.
