Adrian Stanley

Adrian Stanley is Chief Business Development Officer at KnowledgeWorks Global Ltd. (KGL), where he leads global business development and works across the CJK Group to advance innovative solutions in scholarly communications, research integrity, publishing technology, and AI.

With more than 30 years in scholarly publishing, Adrian has held senior leadership roles at Digital Science, JMIR Publications, and The Charlesworth Group, including four years based in Beijing, where he helped establish and grow the company’s China operations.

Adrian is a former President of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) and received its Distinguished Service Award in 2022. He was also an Associate Editor of Learned Publishing and has served on numerous industry and nonprofit boards.

In 2025, Adrian was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of his volunteer contribution to STEM education through STEM Fellowship. He is based in Philadelphia and works extensively across international publishing markets.
