Apoorva Shah is VP of Product at Wiley, where he leads the development of the Applied Research Intelligence Platform, an AI-powered solution that helps R&D teams accelerate discovery by surfacing, synthesizing, and applying trusted scientific knowledge.
Previously as Vice President of Product Management and UX, Shah launched Scholar Gateway, Wiley’s interoperable platform that brings peer-reviewed scientific literature directly into leading AI tools like Claude and Mistral Le Chat, and led the user experience team to understand and respond to evolving researcher needs. Under his leadership, Wiley established strategic partnerships with leading AI companies including Anthropic and Consensus, becoming the first academic publisher to adopt the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and develop standards for integrating scholarly content with AI platforms.
Prior to these roles, Shah served as Wiley’s Vice President of Innovation, focusing on scholarly publishing innovation and generative AI solutions. He brings over 15 years of experience leading complex enterprise SaaS products, with a proven track record of driving data-driven decision-making and aligning product vision with strategic business goals.
