Recent developments in AI, most notably the launch of the public version of ChatGPT, have led to many questions implicating copyright law. How do these tools deal with submitted queries and information? Are generated text and other sorts of information copyrightable and, if so, in whom would copyright inhere? And equally important, how do current copyright laws - and exemptions from copyright - allow for control of licensing content for AI/ML uses? (Spoiler alert: publishers have less control than they might think).
In this one-hour webinar — the second in our series on AI (you can catch the first one here) — we will address these issues which have become highly relevant in a fast-moving and potentially disruptive environment, with both global and European perspectives in mind. No fee to attend.
