Dr. Hui Li received her Ph.D. from Beijing Forestry University in 2006 and has since dedicated her career to academic publishing. She is now Senior Editor and Director of the Journal Publishing Center at Beijing Forestry University, where she leads the management and development of five academic journals, two in English and three in Chinese. Among them, the English-language journals Forest Ecosystems and Avian Research were consecutively selected for the first and second phases of China’s Excellence Action Plan for STM Journals, with Forest Ecosystems recognized as a leading English journal in the second phase.

As the former Managing Editor of Forest Ecosystems, Dr. Li was closely involved in the journal’s founding, development, and internationalization, helping to establish it as a respected platform for forest ecology and ecosystem research. She actively fosters international collaborations, organizes academic workshops, and promotes innovation in scholarly publishing. Now the Journal Publishing Center has become a bridge between Chinese forestry scholarship and the global scientific community, contributing to the dissemination of high-quality forestry research and supporting Beijing Forestry University’s “Double First-Class” initiative.
