Martha Sedgwick

Throughout her career in publishing Martha Sedgwick has worked in innovation roles that aim to create new value for customers. Starting in Macmillan in the strategy department and then the tech start-up: MPS Technologies, Martha built out product management skills working develop content delivery platforms for publishing customers and a usage statistics aggregation tool for libraries: ScholarlyStats.

Since working with Sage Martha has had a range of roles, evolving in response to the strategic priorities of the business. These include running Sage’s Product Management & UX function, overseeing our SaaS division: Technology from Sage, negotiating and transitioning acquisitions, establishing and embedding Lean across the global organisation, establishing Project Ocean and innovation incubator to create new digital solutions for social scientists working with big data, heavily involved in work to embed an inclusive culture across the Sage organisation, and more recently taking on responsibility for Sage’s Open Access division.
