Georgina Gurnhill

Georgina Gurnhill is Director of Marketing and Communications for PeerJ, the award winning open access academic publisher covering the biological and medical sciences.

Prior to joining PeerJ in July 2014, Georgina was most recently at Digital Science where she headed up their central marketing and communications team, mentoring multiple start-up and early-stage tech businesses for the scientific community. With over 18 years experience in global scientific and medical publishing Georgina has also held senior strategic marketing positions at The Lancet, Thomson Reuters, Nature, and Institute of Physics Publishing.

Georgina is a big advocate of embracing new technologies for scientific research and pushing publishing models forward.
